Cecil the Lion / Trophy Hunting
Following the tragic illegal killing of Zimbabwe’s Cecil the lion, thousands erupted in protest over destructive trophy hunting. Many found comfort in Dr. Goodall’s words when she released a statement about the good that can come from Cecil’s death: hope that the outraged would “be more prepared to fight for the protection of wild animals and the wild places where they live.”
